Ampersand International is partnering with a leading global engineering consultancy known as the creative force at the heart of many of the world’s most prominent projects in the built environment, and provider of related consulting and advisory services to a wide range of clients.

They are currently looking to appoint an experienced Marketing Manager to help execute and implement its Australasian strategy, ideally with experience in the built environment and passion for its critical role in shaping communities and creating a more sustainable future.

This high-profile position reports into the leadership team and is a relationship driven role for a collaborative professional who can develop programmes to increase the firm’s brand profile, support new market entry strategies and business generation across Australasia.

While the role will function as a business partner for the consulting, cities, healthcare and education areas within the business, an ability taking a client led and whole of firm approach to market will be critical to success in this role. The position will work closely with a small team of Marketing Managers representing other areas of the business, and link into a wider community of diverse M&C centres of excellence.

You will be responsible identifying current and emerging market challenges and opportunities and deliver value adding and strategic marketing solutions across a range of areas, including:

  • Developing and implementing strategic marketing programs and campaigns that align to the regional strategy.
  • Creating data driven integrated marketing campaigns that deliver a measurable return.
  • Strategic market analysis and advice to enable successful new market entry and new product/service offerings.
  • Developing innovative and dynamic value propositions.
  • Managing relationships with third party industry associations and other external suppliers and organisations.

This is a new role and requires someone with the energy and foresight willing to challenge the status quo, and effectively demonstrate how strategic marketing can provide leadership and counsel to the business. The successful applicant will have had at least 7 years’ experience in a strategic marketing capacity within a services-based industry and be an exemplary stakeholder manager, possessing demonstrated qualities of gravitas, collaboration, patience, tenacity and persistence, along with creativity and a willingness to be hands on will be key to your success in this role.

You will have a commercial approach to Marketing to drive ROI/revenue growth and be comfortable articulating and demonstrating the value of Marketing throughout the firm, so that it's viewed as a critical function rather than "nice to have" support.
