Our lively and brand-new Sydney office is currently seeking a Bid Delivery Specialist to collaborate with technical teams in our consulting group on the planning and development of winning bids. Working on multiple and varied opportunities, you will use your knowledge of the market and bid coordination skills, as well as your advanced written and visual communication, to guide and prepare quality content. The role requires you to be self-sufficient and flexible, with an ability to achieve deliverables and meet deadlines.

About you:

Do you have a strong track record in relationship-building and influencing?

We are looking for an experienced Bid Delivery Specialist with a minimum five years of experience and least 2-4 years’ experience in the development and production of tenders, reports and presentations.

You will have knowledge of bidding best practice with experience in co-ordination of large-scale, multidisciplinary tender processes. You will utilize a broad skills base and be comfortable with technical language, information management and research.

Above all else, you will be a natural problem solver with the ability to remain flexible, calm, and professional when deadlines are approaching!

We are a diverse organization and you will be working across a variety of groups – so interpersonal and relationship building skills with a variety of personality types, along with the ability to influence and adapt are essential. As an influencer in the business, written/visual communication and facilitation skills are also critical to your success in the role. Skills in InDesign and/or experience in a related industry would be highly regarded.

About the role

You will be an integral part of helping the group win work with existing and new clients. The role will require that you develop a good understanding of local clients, internal comms and strong working relationships within Arup.

Reporting directly to the Consulting Group Business Development Consultant for Australasia, you will work closely with the team leaders and senior staff. As a part of a larger business development team, you will also form working relationships and knowledge sharing with other Business Development support staff in the Region.

On the day to day, you will work in an autonomous environment to:

  • Monitor & obtain potential pre-qualifications, expression of Interests and Tenders
  • Coordinate and manage bid processes and procedures, including inputs from technical specialist teams for tenders.
  • Develop, capture, manage and update NSW Consulting BD collateral
  • Co-ordinate and assist the Australasian Business Development Consultant and Group Leader to manage the bid pipeline in NSW & ACT Consulting
  • Write bid-related material and author non-standard documentation including tenders, capability statements, EOIs, proposals, reports and other documentation.
  • Coordinate submissions/tenders and other business development material.
  • Coordinate and maintain a list of possible / probable projects, bids submitted, projects awarded, and client feedback.
  • Liaise with key personnel within the region to ensure timely delivery of information to meet internal and client deadlines and priorities.
  • Support Business Development related activities and events.
