A career at Arup offers you the chance to make a positive difference in the world. Independently owned and independently minded, Arup is the creative force at the heart of many of the world’s most prominent projects in the built environment. We’ve always been a purpose-led organisation, we are here to support each other, to do our best work possible and make our own special contribution. We’re here to shape a better world, and for us ‘better’ is all about creating a more sustainable future for the world.
We are currently looking to appoint an experienced Marketing Manager to help execute and implement our Australasian strategy, ideally with experience in the built environment and passion for its critical role in shaping communities.
About the role
This role reports to the Marketing Lead – Sectors and Businesses, and is a relationship driven role for a focussed and collaborative professional who can develop programmes to increase the firm’s brand profile, and support new market entry strategies and business generation across Australasia.
While the role will function as a business partner for the Consulting sector, Energy business and Cities strategic focus within the business, we are looking for someone who can thematically link these important offerings in a holistic way to other areas of the business, such as transport infrastructure and the property/buildings sectors. The position will work closely with a small team of Marketing Managers representing other areas of the business, and link into a wider community of diverse M&C centres of excellence, to raise the profile of the company’s breadth of capability and its unique commitment to a more sustainable future for its clients and communities.
You will be responsible for identifying current and emerging market challenges and opportunities and deliver value adding and strategic marketing solutions across a range of areas.
This is a new role and requires someone with the energy and foresight to sometimes challenge the status quo, and effectively demonstrate how strategic marketing can provide leadership and counsel to the business. The successful applicant will have had at least 7 years’ experience in a strategic marketing capacity within a services-based industry and be an exemplary stakeholder manager, possessing demonstrated qualities of gravitas, collaboration, patience, tenacity and persistence, along with creativity and a willingness to be hands on will be key to your success in this role.
Experience gained in a Professional Services/ Consulting environment and good understanding of Energy/Cities Advisory is preferred.
You will have a commercial approach to Marketing to drive ROI/revenue growth and be comfortable articulating and demonstrating the value of Marketing throughout the firm, so that it's viewed as a critical function rather than "nice to have" support.
We offer a competitive remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience to the right candidate including a global profit share scheme, excellent staff benefits and long-term career development opportunities.
