About the role
Reporting to the Regional Head of Marketing & Comms, in this role, you will lead the Vic/SA M&C team providing direction, guidance and strategic input. You will work closely with the local leadership team to deeply understand the local market and client base, identifying current and emerging challenges and opportunities to formulate marketing responses to ensure Arup is well placed to win work with preferred clients and secure desired projects.
Evaluating opportunities and challenges, both currently and into the future, you will be expected to develop innovative client led marketing and supporting business generation initiatives to ensure the firm is well known in the Victorian and South Australian markets, has strong relationships with key clients and supports business generation.

This is a role that requires someone with the energy and foresight to challenge the status quo, and effectively demonstrate how strategic marketing can provide leadership and counsel to the business.
The successful applicant will be a team-player who is looking for a highly integrated environment and have at least 7 years’ experience in a strategic marketing and business development capacity – preferably from within the built environment or broader professional services.
You will bring an excellent understanding of strategic and tactical marketing and business generation practices, covering a range of areas such as market analysis, marketing plan development, event management, strategic account management, content development, alliance marketing and internal communications.
Experience managing and developing a small team as well as being an exemplary stakeholder manager, possessing demonstrated qualities of gravitas, collaboration, and persistence, along with creativity and a willingness to be hands on will be key to your success in this role.
