Current Opportunity

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity available to join BDO WA’s Shared Services team to plan and lead high quality Business Development across the state.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Work closely with Partners/ADs/Senior Managers/Managers to contribute to the retention of existing clients and winning of new clients through execution of Firm and Service Line strategic plans.
  • Develop the firms’ sales and business development infrastructure to create ‘best practice’ in capturing and tracking the firm’s sales pipeline.
  • Promote and coach the staff around demonstrating and executing on business development plans and account management planning and practice.
  • Manage and facilitate the service line and cross service line business development focus groups to track and develop the practice of business development across the firm.
  • Develop cross-service line initiatives that promote a firm-wide approach to business development.
  • Develop focus groups around sector, industry, services to create a targeted and strategic approach to the market.
  • Create opportunities to foster client relationships in a meaningful way.
  • Support the go-to-market approach by industries as set out by BDO international. Work with state, national and international colleagues to support cross-border opportunities.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification.
  • Well developed and established local network.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in Sales/Account management/BD related field including experience in a Professional Services environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively build and manage relationships through effective interpersonal and relationship skills.
  • Extensive experience in Strategy development and implementation.
  • Well-developed coaching, training and public speaking skills.
  • Development and management of BD/sales tools and strategies.
  • Knowledge of CRM database management (desirable).
  • Confidence in dealing with clients and an ability to execute complex conversations.
  • A proactive approach and ability to work independently when required.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to generate new ideas and contribute to BDO’s growth, profit and client satisfaction.
