Current Opportunity

BDO in Brisbane are currently sourcing an Events and Partnerships Assistant to join their team. In this role you’ll work closely with the Events & Sponsorships Senior Coordinator to assist in the coordination of marketing events and sponsorships for the firm. This role will also work closely with partners internally and external events partners to facilitate successful events, sponsorships and partnerships throughout the year. You’ll maintain a calendar of events for the firm along with ensuring events and sponsorships are communicated across the firm by developing content for internal channels. Similarly, you will draft content for the promotion of events to the external market.

Some of your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Event preparation, coordination and evaluation.
  • Coordination of client entertainment.
  • Content development to support events & sponsorships, including social media & video.
  • Client relations and business development.
  • Internal communication.
  • CRM/Marketing automation.
  • Contribution to the Marketing and Client Relations team.

What we’re looking for

A friendly and professional Events & Partnerships Assistant to join our Clients & Markets team. You’ll enjoy being part of a collaborative and interactive team but also have the motivation to take ownership of your role and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. A key part of your role is the ability to build rapport with your internal clients and external providers to deliver effective and appropriate events.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification will be highly regarded.
  • Strong organisational abilities and ability to adhere to deadlines.
  • Willingness to work outside standard hours as required.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated understanding of event process and sponsorships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Entry level Adobe Creative Suite skills (preferred but not essential).
