The role of Clients & Markets is to provide strategic and operational marketing and business development advice and assistance in support of the vision, and national and local objectives of growth, markets and brand, as defined in plans approved by the National and local Boards.

Current Opportunity:

The Marketing and Events Executive (Part-Time) role sits within the Shared Services team and is responsible for managing and coordinating events and sponsorship initiatives across the firm to complement the overall firm strategy. The role supports the marketing and client relations strategies for all service lines and industry focus groups.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage events, sponsorships/memberships and strategic partnerships.
  • Manage all aspects of event co-ordination from inception and scoping through to delivery.
  • Develop event campaigns to build brand awareness and market engagement, including the development of social media distributed by various digital channels.
  • Working with leadership to align events activity with business objectives/campaigns and actively seek event opportunities for Partners to build profile and thought leadership.
  • Working with wider Clients & Markets team to facilitate business development events/sponsorships for the firm, divisions and sectors.
  • Possessing an up to date knowledge of industry events, seminars, conferences and networking opportunities
  • Post event attendee follow ups – updating the CRM database and ensuring client thank you communication is delivered.
  • Prepare feedback and post event analysis/debrief reports (providing opportunity to measure ROI) to ensure the continuous improvements of event processes across the business.
  • Manage event/sponsorship/membership related budgets, invoices and payments.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills required:

  • Tertiary qualified in a marketing/business/event management
  • Experience in running a high volume of corporate events - ideally with experience in a professional services firm
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience working with all levels of seniority.
  • An understanding of working within a professional partnership.
  • Strong working knowledge of marketing principles and practices
  • Strong proactive and client service focus.
  • Exceptional time management skills with an ability to take ownership of a project, prioritise requests and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management with all staff and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to manage and work within a budget
  • Project management skills
  • Strong and effective communicator – written, presentation and personal
  • Passion for developing new business and delivering exceptional client service
  • Intermediate – Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
