Partnership & Events Executive

In this role you’ll work with our Partners to create engaging events that attract new prospects, and drive loyalty amongst existing clients. You’ll also develop lasting partnerships that support the BDO brand and business growth. This is an exciting career opportunity for an experienced and driven Partnership & Events Executive to join our Clients & Markets team on a part-time, fixed term contract, with the potential to extend.

The role is responsible for:

  • Managing partnerships, industry associations and key sponsorships to maximise benefits and ensure alignment according to the BDO brand values and firm objectives.
  • Identification, negotiation and implementation of new partnership / sponsorship opportunities through strategic analysis, relationship building and the ability to influence and gain support of internal stakeholders.
  • Liaising with key stakeholders, including Partner groups, senior management and external industry partners to ensure all event and partnership requirements are managed effectively and within budget.
  • Maximising opportunities from events and partnerships, working with subject matter experts and developing content for thought leadership pieces to amplify via various owned and paid marketing channels.
  • Championing the BDO brand, ensuring all partnerships and events comply with brand guidelines.
  • Using the CRM system to capture relevant information, and tracking and reporting on event outcomes
  • Reporting on ROI from partnerships and key events.
  • Forward planning of events, maintaining the Perth event calendar.

What we are looking for?

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, PR or journalism
  • Demonstrated experience in managing relationships (internal and external)
  • At least three years partnership and event management experience, ideally gained within a professional services firm
  • Understanding of local market and developing relationships with industry associations
  • Experience in the end to end management of medium to large events
  • Excellent communication and team working skills, with the ability to develop rapport at all levels of the organisation
  • The ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet firm deadlines
