Due to strong internal growth we are currently seeking a Senior Bid Writer to work specifically with our Advisory team. You’ll help Partners and their teams to create and project manage compelling bid documents (including tenders and proposals), working closely with senior leaders and subject matter experts to develop high-quality content on time, every time.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effective and efficient development of Advisory bids following the firm’s bid framework
  • Guiding Advisory Partners / senior staff on achieving the best outcome for the firm for all bids managed, including Go / No Go advice
  • Obtaining a detailed understanding of the procurement request (RFx) documents for each opportunity, and ensuring the bid addresses all requirements
  • Working with Partners and subject matter experts to capture the solution and articulate it to the client / target in a compelling way
  • Bid writing, editing, design, and formatting
  • Continually developing an understanding of service offerings across Advisory, and applying this understanding in developing solution content for bids
  • Using the firm’s CRM system for tracking and reporting purposes, and to capture relevant information

Ideally you’ll have

  • Tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline (marketing, communications, PR or journalism would be desirable)
  • Either: strong experience producing bids in response to formal procurement requests, ideally in a professional services firm and / or for government and public sector targets; or strong experience working in a procurement-related role in the government and public sector, and the ability to apply this experience to the production of bids
  • Excellent business writing, proofreading and editing skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Word), including document design, layout and formatting
  • Experience complying with brand guidelines (visual and tone of voice)
  • Excellent communication and team working skills, with the ability to develop rapport at all levels of the organisation
  • The ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet external deadlines
  • Confidence coordinating (and when required, challenging) content provided by subject matter experts, including senior leaders
  • The ability to effectively manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet external deadlines
  • The ability to quickly learn new software, systems and processes
