One of Dalton Handley’s longest standing clients, a highly sophisticated and successful global professional services firm is seeking a senior Client Relationship Manager to their Clients & Sectors team in Australia. You'll be joining at a time of unprecedented focus on client strategy as the firm focuses on its client program. You will play a key role managing a select portfolio of clients which reflect your experience in the key client program and work side by side with the relevant Client Relationship Partners to share information, drive the client strategy, and seek innovative ways to partner with some of our most significant clients.

In this pure CRM role with no additional practice group responsibilities, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Work with the relevant CRPs to set the growth strategy for nominated clients and provide account leadership internally and with the client
  • Bring a structured approach to the management of nominated clients to ensure accountability of objectives; and to develop multi-dimensional (products/region) relationships across clients
  • Build your own network of relationships within the client in order to be the internal advocate/voice of the client in decision making.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the nominated clients and their businesses in order to identify emerging client need and improve knowledge of the client within the firm.
  • Coach and work with partners and lawyers to develop the client team to best meet client need and to execute on the growth strategy.
  • Engage in and encourage active support of the firm's Client Listening Programme.
  • Understand the firm’s service offering and connect legal and business services expertise to clients.
  • Drive an innovative and profitability led approach to meeting the pricing needs of clients.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Proven experience managing significant clients in a Professional services environment, including demonstrable revenue growth.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trusting relationships with the partnership and business services management alike.
  • Comfort and proficiency in effectively influencing partners.
  • Demonstrated experience building strategic business relationships and identifying/pursuing new business.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute against medium term business development plans/goals.
  • Demonstrated ability in navigating complex matrix organisations.
  • Inherent drive to succeed, and proven ability to develop and execute solutions to short term barriers and setbacks.
  • Experience project managing major tenders and bids.
  • Appropriate undergraduate degree qualifications. Post graduate qualifications are highly regarded.
