Our client is looking for an experienced, driven and client-focused Business Development professional to join their growing team. Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager, you will have support from a Business Development Assistant in driving business development and marketing initiatives across the litigation and regulatory team. This role also manages one key clients of the firm, where you will work closely with the lead partner.

Role responsibilities

  • Provide business development and advisory services to the litigation and regulatory group, including:
  • Executing team strategy plans
  • Planning for key stakeholders
  • Execution of key practice group projects
  • Leading on practice group pitches and on firm-wide panel pitches involving litigation and regulatory group.
  • Supervising others on execution of strategic events.
  • Leading on several of the Legal Directory submissions for the group.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of practice group collateral and website.
  • Ensure the capture and maintenance of relevant credentials / deal sheets.
  • Provide key client account support to a number of nominated clients.
  • Provide BD support to the Insurance sector team.
  • Assist with building the brand and profile of the firm, group and insurance sector.
  • Assist local BD Managers with client facing legal education programme.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, Communications or Commerce (preferred).
  • Minimum of two years’ experience within professional services marketing, business development or communications.
  • Be a confident communicator, both verbal and written, with ability to influence and win the confidence of management, stakeholders and clients.
  • Understanding and interest in the legal industry.
  • Client-centric approach to work.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and be flexible to move between multiple projects to tight timeframes.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Be a team player, who is willing to chip in but also work autonomously when needed.
