Well respected by the partners, the talented and experienced BD and Client team is underpinned by sophisticated tools, systems and processes, which allows for the team to operate proactively and strategically to drive business and client growth.

A rare opportunity to join the firm has arisen in Melbourne and would suit an ambitious BD Executive, BD Adviser or Junior Manager currently in another professional services business. Working with the BD Lead for a key service line and Regional Heads, this role will develop and support the delivery of the business development strategy in Australia and globally, through sales coaching, client account management, facilitating major pursuits and enhancing the client experience.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the service line BD lead to provide strategic and tactical advice in the development and execution of the groups’ business development strategy.
  • Support the implementation of the service line strategy by coaching partners to maximise market opportunities and pursue new business. Evaluate progress against plan and monitor the implementation of key initiatives.
  • Act as Client Relationship Manager for a priority client of the firm of particular significance to the service line. Work with the CRP's to develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers of nominated client.
  • Engage in and encourage active support of the firm’s Client Listening Programme continually looking for ways to improve the client experience.
  • Work with relevant partners to assist in preparation of business and action plans for individuals and their areas of business.
  • Research and provide market information, and analysis of financials to identify trends
  • Champion firm wide business development initiatives, within the group working with individual partners, and leaders
  • Prepare relevant directory submissions in consultation with the relevant partners
  • Lead and contribute to the preparation of pitch and bid documents
  • In conjunction with the Brand and Marketing team and the Communications team, develop marketing and profile raising initiatives including content strategy and thought leadership.

To be considered, candidates should present with around three to six years’ experience in business development, working in a complex B2B environment. More junior candidates are still encouraged to make contact to have an exploratory discussion, in the strictest of confidence.
