Our client is a rapidly growing international law firm, known for their client centric approach to providing full legal services and expertise across five core global sectors: insurance, trade & commodities, energy, transport and infrastructure. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a, Sydney based, business development executive to join a high performing team in an open and dynamic environment. We are seeking someone with energy, passion and a commercial mindset that can drive business initiatives, influence partners to increase client engagement, and delivery results.

Role responsibilities

  • Work with partners and senior lawyers to develop, implement and communicate their strategic business development plans
  • Champion client initiatives including driving plans and engagement
  • Work closely with the Events Advisor to oversee the client event, seminar and training programme for the practice group
  • Prepare high quality, client focussed pitches and tenders.
  • Develop, in conjunction with the design team, marketing collateral, website content, presentations and event materials
  • Utilise CRM databases to complete research and create event and communications lists and campaign reports
  • Maintain client data and contact lists with secretaries and assistants
  • Maintain best practice brand standard and drive cross-pollination of ideas and opportunities between various groups across the firm
  • Contribute to business development process improvement
  • Assist partners and lawyers to develop their business development skills.

Required skills and qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification in a business-related discipline – marketing or law highly regarded
  • A minimum three years marketing, business development, or related experience within professional services
  • Experience with tenders/proposals
  • Be a confident communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and win the confidence of management, stakeholders and clients
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and be flexible to move between multiple projects to tight timeframes
  • Initiative, creativity and an eye for detail.
