Business Development Executive - Real Estate & Projects (12 month contract) |Leading Global Law Firm

This is a rare and fantastic opportunity to join an enviable, tier-one law firm in a client-focused role. Working with partners, senior BD professionals and marketing – you will be instrumental in growing client accounts and delivering BD initiatives for some of the firm’s most important real estate and projects clients.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Working alongside Bank CRMs, Senior BDM and Marketing Manager to manage and execute client account plans as well as develop and implement initiatives arising from the real estate and projects industry plan.
  • Managing the regular reporting requirements for their real estate and project clients including liaising with non-legal teams from the managed banks to help facilitate requests in reporting, training, etc.
  • Preparing for client team meetings, including preparing draft agendas, capturing actions and following up with relevant client team members regarding opportunities as required.
  • Working with CRMs and CRPs to coordinate event and entertainment ideas which will meet objectives outlined in client relationship plans or the industry plan, as well as play a key role in the organisation of these events.
  • Preparing and maintaining marketing materials, including website/intranet content, client publications, brochures and pitch/ pursuit material, contact cards, capability statements.
  • Assisting with maintaining sector-related expertise materials and its delivery to clients.
  • Providing support to real estate and projects CRMs in the production and delivery of panel or other important pitches for clients.
  • Assisting with ensuring panel and pricing agreements are communicated and adhered to internally. Ensuring compliance with client systems.
  • Undertaking and preparing research in relation to the real estate and projects industry and clients, as well as preparing materials to assist CRPs and CRMs for relationship meetings.
  • Assisting with coordinating the client secondment process, keeping track of secondments, looking for trends and opportunities in feedback and ensuring that best practice is being adhered to in bank relationships globally.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • 3+ years’ experience in professional services.
  • Self-starter who will identify, take accountability for, and follow through on potential opportunities and initiatives.
  • Enthusiastic, ‘can-do’ and proactive attitude – this is critical to the success of this role.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work autonomously when required as well as ability to work within a team and take direction from others.
  • High level of confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy.
