Our client is a truly global, tier-one law firm with an integrated partnership comprising over 500 partners across an extensive global network. They offer global breadth and local depth to their clients around the world. In Australia, the team advises on some of the largest and most complex cross-border matters domestically and regionally across Asia Pacific. Their client base includes leading financial institutions, corporations, regulators and governments.

Our client is seeking an ambitious, enthusiastic and motivated BD Executive to join their team. You will have the opportunity to work in a high-performing, sophisticated and collaborative global team to drive innovative new business acquisition and client development activities.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Preparation, drafting and coordination of tenders, pitches, credential statements, brochures, client relationship statements; and promotion of best practice around the proposals process
  • Preparation, drafting and coordination of legal directory submissions and award submissions, and management of league table submissions
  • Assist with the development and management of e-marketing campaigns such as client alerts, publications and invitations
  • Management and proactive internal promotion in Australia of global marketing information systems
  • Encourage BD best practice across the Australian offices, be a champion for the various systems we have in place and encourage fee earners to engage with these systems
  • Internal and external communications, including management of various internal marketing reports, creating and updating content on relevant Intranet pages, firm website content and updating content on relevant social media pages
  • Event coordination and management, including setting up contact lists, invitations, RSVP management, on-day set up and management
  • Client, industry and market research and analysis, including assistance with client management activities
  • Assisting the Managers on BD initiatives, such as pursuits, BD plans, marketing initiatives and campaigns
  • Admin support to the Managers and broader team, including responding to ad-hoc queries from various stakeholders
  • Working on ad hoc projects with other teams across the firm
  • Additional local or global projects as required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Business, marketing, communications or related degree preferred
  • 2+ years' experience in professional services, or similar
  • High attention to detail with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Highly organised with the demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to work collaboratively and effectively within and across teams and offices
  • Strong team player with a positive “can do” attitude.
