Our client is looking for an experienced, driven and client-focused Business Development professional to join their growing team. Reporting to the National Head of Business Development and Marketing, you will be responsible for providing ongoing business development services to the Intellectual Property, Technology and Employment teams and a key sector, as well as account management services to a selection of the firm's priority clients.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading, innovative and entrepreneurial global law firm where you can drive client-centric and dynamic BD initiatives with business leaders.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage and drive all business development, clients and marketing initiatives for Intellectual Property, Technology and Employment.
  • Drive sector strategy plans, working closely with sector heads and collaborating with the wider BD team.
  • Identify and drive client opportunities, including implementing client plans and driving actions with key partners.
  • Project manage and draft all tenders and bid opportunities.
  • Manage client and market research and analysis, making recommendations to the business leaders where relevant.
  • Assist partners with client relationship management, client acquisition and profile raising.
  • Develop and drive marketing and BD campaigns.
  • Collaborate work with the global BD team to spot opportunities.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (either business, marketing or legal).
  • Minimum five years' experience in a B2B managerial role, ideally within legal or professional services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Client-centric with experience in managing client accounts.
  • Experience in managing tenders, bids and client proposals.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, the ability and confidence to influence, persuade and negotiate.
  • Resilience and self-motivation, able to work autonomously with a large degree of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines and to manage multiple projects in concurrence.
  • Commercial mind-set with the ability to pursue opportunities and connect dots.
