We are currently partnering with a leading law firm to recruit an events assistant, based in Sydney. Working closely with a highly regarded business development teams, this is an exciting and fast-paced role which will provide the opportunity for future growth. If you are looking to start your events career within professional services or would like to take the next step in developing your existing foundation of skills in this area, we would like to hear from you.

Role responsibilities

  • Coordinate the planning and execution of strategic events
  • Work with the BD to create concepts for key initiatives across industry sectors and practice groups
  • Work with the Communications team to develop and deliver effective communications for sponsorships and events
  • Post event analysis
  • Coordinating the events of various committees and other internal clients
  • Assist with designated key sponsor relationships to ensure maximum return on investment and advising the firm on potential new sponsorship opportunities
  • Distribute marketing collateral both internally and externally
  • Perform research tasks as well as prepare reports and presentations
  • Maintain the firms client relationship management (CRM) database

Required skills and qualifications

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team to get things done
  • Qualifications in events, marketing or business
  • Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in an autonomous events role
  • Experience working in professional services in an events role highly regarded
  • Be organised, proactive, calm under pressure with exceptional time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
  • Enjoy variety, use initiative and work efficiently
  • Be motivated and passionate with a desire to work on a mix of events and tenders
