This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pursuit and business development professional to join a high-performing team and help generate business across Asia-Pacific.

Role responsibilities:

  • Manage strategic pursuits and turn these opportunities into key firm wins through multiple tender processes, including bid scheduling, reviewing, compliance, and document production.
  • Formally coach, train and mentor junior team members and technical experts around successful pursuit and business development activities.
  • Be proactive and have full accountability for the management of bids ranging from major multidisciplinary, multi-company infrastructure projects to small, technically specific projects.
  • Liaise with strategy leaders and reviewers to ensure winning strategy is embedded in the offer.
  • Liaise with technical teams, schedulers, project managers and other contributors for timely receipt of information required to meet internal and external (client) deadlines and priorities.
  • Represent the business during internal and external bidding activities. You may be responsible for facilitating events and activities which impact the business. This will require you to allocate tasks, coordinate activities and predict and plan resources.
  • Contribute to the development of improvements to bidding process and success rates within the Sector.
  • Contribute to the performance and development of others; providing guidance, training, direction and feedback.
  • Ad-hoc business development tasks such as marketing collateral, thought leadership pieces and client events.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • A high degree of technical capability in pursuit and bid management with problem solving skills.
  • Professional qualification and a minimum of five years’ business experience.
  • Experience in the development of client-centric tenders, pitches and presentations.
  • Strong track record in relationship-building and influencing techniques.
  • Highly tuned interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Facilitation experience with the ability to manage up in guiding pursuit teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to story tell and write creatively to influence.
  • Knowledge of best practice, preferably within a similar field.
  • Flexibility, adaptability and professionalism.
  • Microsoft office suite.
