Our client is a preeminent, independent Australian law firm providing clients with innovative and commercial advice - and an outstanding client experience. They are repeatedly recognised as a leading legal service provider in the Chambers Asia Pacific and The Legal 500 Asia Pacific legal directories, and many of the firm’s partners and special counsel are recognised as leaders in their areas of law. As a result of continued growth, the firm is now looking for a star performer to join the rapidly growing Sydney office to lead marketing and BD activities.

Role & Responsibilities

This role is broader than the typical business development role you would find in firms of a similar size; working closely with and supporting the Head of BD and Marketing, Office Managing Partner and partners in the Sydney office, you will develop and maintain BDM strategies and activities to meet the relevant practice group’s objectives, raise profile and brand awareness, and effectively manage the BDM functional activities of the office.

You will have extensive profile across the firm, acting as a key advisor to multiple partners and senior lawyers to help them grow practice group revenue and build / enhance client relationships. Implementing and executing profile raising strategies, you will be committed to keeping the client at the centre of all activities and support the firm's key practice groups to develop and execute BDM initiatives.

The successful BDM Advisor will work closely with all practice groups across the Sydney office, and will also support the National Client Relationship Partners in maintaining the firm’s strategic or growth client relationships. The firm is open to considering candidates who may be interested in a contract position, or who may want to work flexi-time.

Role Requirements

You have an excellent understanding of professional services marketing principles and business development experience. You are a proactive, service-oriented individual with demonstrated success in a professional services or business-to-business BDM environment, in addition to being tertiary qualified in Law, Business / Commerce or other relevant related discipline.
