Our client, a global leader in accounting and consulting, utilises people’s individual skills and talents to create a down to earth yet entrepreneurial environment. This is an exciting opportunity for an Business Development Advisor to join a highly regarded business development team.

Reporting into an experienced Senior Business Development Manager, in this role you will support local business development activities. Working closely with senior stakeholders and partners to identify opportunities, track pursuits and win work, you will use your knowledge and experience to ensure client growth and retention.

Role responsibilities:

  • Work on growth planning and relationship management of key client accounts in Sydney
  • Support high value/strategic pursuit activity
  • Work closely with Partners to develop and deliver high quality proposals
  • Manage content for proposals across industry groups, service lines and key prospects
  • Support the development of new content and maintain up-to-date content, including ensuring appropriate file management
  • Engage in Salesforce training and promotion
  • Assist in driving other strategic initiatives, local market communications and client activities
  • Collaborate with the broader Marketing team members to ensure integration of BD and strategic marketing activities and contributing to the overall success of the function.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline highly regarded
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a professional services BD, marketing or communications role
  • Demonstrated project coordination experience
  • Experience in working across state and national offices to achieve business growth objectives
  • Understanding of marketing theory, concepts and practice
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Be a confident communicator, both verbal and written
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and be flexible to move between multiple projects
  • Ability to liaise and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Work both autonomously and part of a team, demonstrating initiative to follow through with projects
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
