Ahead of a strongly anticipated market upturn, a world renowned, global professional service firm is actively seeking to recruit talented business developers to join their strategic bidding hub. Many of these roles are newly created and sit at all levels from coordinator through to manager, offering fantastic opportunities for candidates with proven experience in business development coupled with excellent project management, stakeholder engagement and writing skills. Candidates at all levels up to manager, including more junior candidates seeking an exceptional learning and development opportunity.
With an outstanding reputation for understanding their clients and providing exceptional client service at a global level, this firm has a sophisticated and high performing MCBD and client development, held in high regard by the Partnership and more broadly across the firm. You will be responsible for providing critical bid support for the end-to-end bid process. An integral part of the global bid team, you will support the development of bid responses in collaboration with the global bid team, business development and other stakeholders by developing leading and persuasive bid content for each requirement.
Role & Responsibilities will depend on the level of the role.
The function itself is responsible for:
- Leading the bid process to ensure best practice bid responses are developed for individual client requirements
- Receiving tender documentation and working with lead partners to ‘kick-off’ the response process
- Working with Fee-earners and BD team members to define the bid strategy with a clear value proposition and win themes for critical and strategic bids
- Managing the end-to-end bid process according to best practice milestones and work collaboratively with all members of the firm, ensuring stakeholders are aware of their role
- Conducting bid client research and develop and deliver stakeholder briefings and reports for major and complex bids
- Contributing to the design of graphical elements for written proposals, such as operating models, team structures, value propositions and complex themes
- Providing critical support for the firm’s preferred Bid technology for the creation and delivery of bids and support the tracking of bid data
- Supporting the content team to deliver the firm’s content management strategy by identifying content gaps and developing and writing leading content for inclusion in the content library
- Analysing bid response feedback against written responses to support the improvement of overall quality, win rates and spot trends

Candidates with the following are encouraged to apply:
- Proven experience in project management, writing and delivering to tight deadlines
- Exceptional eye for detail, able to spot errors and inconsistencies, i.e. strong proofreading skills
- Highly competent user of the Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Word and PowerPoint skills
- For more senior roles:
- Strong bid management experience including proposal writing
- Experience of bid and pursuit management in either a legal, professional services or other relevant environment, and experience of producing winning bids.
- Ability to identify client requirements and successfully articulate differentiators, benefits and win themes demonstrating our ability to meet client needs and requirements.
- Experience of managing complex opportunities across practice with multiple stakeholders and challenging timelines.
