Marketing & BD Advisor (Part-Time)

The Marketing & BD Advisor works with, and reports to the CEO to drive the overall marketing strategy, coordinate marketing activities and communication of the practice and provides BD support to the partner group.


BD Best Practices and Support

  • Support the partners in building their annual business development strategy and initiatives.
  • Project manage implementation of specific pillar/ target market segment initiatives.
  • Research market trends, attend industry functions such as association events and conferences, and present ideas on market and creative trends to the partner group.
  • Provide support on new client tenders and pitches.
  • Review and develop alliance strategy in relevant networks.
  • Maintain “New business opportunities and work won” pipeline.
  • Be a sounding board to all levels of staff, assisting them with developing their BD abilities/plans at their level.

Client Retention

  • Oversee the review and maintenance of the Client Service Experience, including the client onboarding process, client service plan and the overall value proposition to existing clients.
  • Identify cross selling opportunities in conjunction with the Partner group within the firm.
  • Facilitate annual survey and results.

Brand management and Communication

  • Ensure all branding, communications and marketing collateral are in accordance with ESV brand guidelines.
  • Project manage brand related campaigns and activities.
  • Assist Marketing Assistant with generating proposals for potential clients and researching potential clients.
  • Coordinate the marketing events calendar, including the business owner event series, annual accounting update event, alliance partner events and other events.
  • Evaluate marketing campaigns – report on successes and areas for improvement.


  • Tertiary qualified with 5+ years experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of a professional services environment
  • Proven ability to manage the operational and some strategic components of the BD & Marketing function
  • Previous people management experience
  • Good conceptual ability and strategic thinking
  • Sound verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong relationship building and business partnering skills
