We are experts in the protection of intellectual property, working with an impressive range of local and international clients to create strategies with high commercial impact.

We are seeking an experienced and pro-active Business Development Coordinator in our Melbourne office looking to further develop their career within a fast-paced but collaborative team.

Working closely with the BD team, your role is to support the firm as we continue to grow and develop our practice nationally. You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Supporting the firm's business development plan and contributing to its implementation
  • Producing tender responses and pricing proposals
  • Researching new business opportunities
  • Coordinating firm sponsorships
  • Managing firm events
  • Supporting Partners and Senior Associates with overseas travel research and preparation
  • Assisting with the development of the opportunity pipeline
  • Assisting with the implementation of business development initiatives including client events
  • Liaising with external suppliers and organisations on behalf of the department
  • Coordinating and maintaining firm social media and online presence

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ business development experience – preferably within a professional services environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Intermediate/Advanced InDesign and Photoshop skills
  • Experience with CRM platforms and HTML editing would be highly desirable
  • Experience with tender coordination
  • Attention to detail, with excellent writing and proofreading skills
  • Excellent time management including the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise competing tasks
  • An ability to adapt your working style to suit a wide range of professional staff
  • Degree qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business, or Law preferred
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
