Bid Strategy Leader

The key objective of this position is to provide strategic direction while leading pursuit and bid activities for key pursuits identified by the Victorian business. You will work closely with the leadership team to pursue, position and tender for the highest priorities emerging from our target clients and markets.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Lead major project proposal teams and proposal preparation workflows.
  • Facilitate senior leadership discussions and approvals relating to key elements of proposal offers.
  • Manage major project proposal production - writing and editing – whilst collaborating with technical contributors, document finishers and graphic designers to develop strategic, technical and visually compelling proposals.
  • Provide coaching and advice to key staff across the business on proposal best practice and act as mentor for staff involved in bids/proposals.
  • Drive a winning work culture in the Victorian business and work with global peers to develop systems, processes, tools and resources to build successful program of winning work at all levels of the GHD enterprise.

Key Criteria:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications backed by demonstrable experience working with senior stakeholders to achieve results.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to guide, influence, shape & inspire the outcomes of senior management, opportunity pursuit and proposal teams.
  • Deep understanding of the major project delivery environment in Victoria coupled with an extensive personal network.
  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills, including the ability to influence change and successfully negotiate agreed outcomes.
  • Ability to multi-task, and prioritise team’s workload.
