About the opportunity

Griffith Hack is now looking for a permanent full-time or part-time (0.8 PTE) Marketing & Communications Executive to join our National Marketing Team in Melbourne or Sydney.

Your daily responsibilities will vary and generally include (but not limited to):

  • Building and managing relationships with external media including trade publications/journals, law directory publishers, business media and sponsors.
  • Overseeing content strategy implementation, including the development of a content calendar. Proactively recommending content and managing content from conception through to creation, publication and promotion.
  • Editing and writing content for printed media including marketing collateral and promotional material.
  • Assisting with the creation, editing and writing of content for digital channels including Griffith Hack’s website and LinkedIn account, and eDMs.
  • Developing Thought Leadership campaigns that encompass our ‘full service’ IP offering.
  • Liaising with external service providers (such as printers, graphic designers and web developers) where needed.
  • Monitoring and measuring success of campaigns, reporting to the Marketing Manager on communication effectiveness and making recommendations based on feedback.
  • Developing and maintaining communication guidelines / a policy to support professionals promoting the firm and their personal brand via social media.
  • Developing a strategy for effective internal communication and providing guidance to other business service functions to coordinate communications.
  • Managing the internal dissemination of critical business information, particularly those relating to marketing and business development issues.
  • Develop and maintain communications governance guidelines on quality, style and format. Ensuring that guidelines are adhered to.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments and generate new ideas to draw audience’s attention.

Skills and experience

We're looking for candidates who have:

  • Bachelor of Communications or other relevant Tertiary Education Degree/Diploma.
  • Preferably 5+ years’ experience in external communications in a professional services firm.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail, including the ability to adjust tone and write for an audience.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and professional communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of internal clients.
  • Capability in both strategic thinking and implementation.
  • A demonstrated ability to understand and communicate in a highly technical field.
  • Experience working with various media, with skills in digital communications channels highly regard.
