The Opportunity

We have a newly created opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to support the growth of our Restructuring, Turnaround and Insolvency (RTI) team across Australia and Asia. This is a discrete group in our broader Finance practice. This is a 12 month maximum term contract.

Collaborating closely with our partners, you'll lead the implementation and execution of the Clients, Sectors and Profiling component of the RTI strategic plan. Your key responsibilities will also include:

  • Developing an annual business plan, including key clients, budgeted revenues, key focuses
  • Developing an annual marketing plan, including profile raising initiatives, online presence, thought leadership and industry associations
  • Develop and manage the team's process in identifying, tracking and pursuing opportunities in the Australian and Asian markets
  • Help develop approach to internal collaboration, including cross selling opportunities

Some of the key objectives for your success in the role will include:

  • Delivery of the RTI strategic plan with demonstrated influence on group revenues, new mandates and client relationships
  • Positive feedback from key stakeholders
  • Familiarity with the RTI market, and sharing of knowledge to build the team's profile and success

Skills & Experience

What will you bring to the role?

The ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years' experience in  a BD role with a particular focus on strategic selling, pursuits management, account management. Direct experience in RTI is not required.

You'll have strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience building strategic business relationships. You'll also have:

  • Proven ability to plan and execute against medium term business development plans/goals.
  • Demonstrated ability in navigating complex matrix organisations.
  • Inherent drive to succeed, and proven ability to develop and execute solutions to short term barriers and setbacks.
  • Experience project managing major tenders and bids.
  • Appropriate undergraduate degree qualifications. Post graduate qualifications are highly regarded.
