About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Perth-based Business Development Specialist to join our Business Development team in Australia.

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, this role is key to driving the business development and marketing activities for the Energy, Infrastructure and Resources (EIR) practice group and the Perth office.

What does the role involve?

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Liaising with partners, practice group members and client teams on BD initiatives at a strategic level.
  • Project managing pursuits including proposals.
  • Advising our lawyers on the best course of action when responding to the needs of our clients.
  • Organising and implementing client relationship and profile building activities.
  • Providing support on global, regional and national BD projects.

About you

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Specialist with professional services marketing experience within the legal industry. This role is a great opportunity for candidates with strong leadership and business partnering skills and who wants to be a part of growing the K&L Gates brand and client base across Asia Pacific and globally.

This role will have key stakeholders in Australia and requires candidates with a proven track record in managing and preparing large scale tenders as well as ad hoc pitches and capability statements. We expect this role to play a true adviser role for our partners in focussing their business development efforts.
