About the role

Reporting to the Senior Client Relationship Manager for the Projects, Infrastructure, Energy & Resources team, you will be a key member of the national Business Development & Marketing team. Your role is focused on implementing the firm’s client and sector strategy. This exceptional opportunity represents a chance to develop and enhance your career in a broad business development and marketing role with recognised leaders in their field - where you'll be both challenged by and exposed to a number of development opportunities.

You will contribute to the firm’s Business Development strategy by executing against profitable growth opportunities across Australia and internationally by applying market insight, client development, relationship building and brand enhancing skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the business development strategies and marketing activities of the PIER team - Projects, Infrastructure, Energy & Resources
  • Collaborate with sector groups and centres on go-to-market strategy, including Thought Leadership Campaigns
  • Identify client feedback opportunities for the practice group and executing a plan to ensure key client and matter coverage
  • Work with the Events team to coordinate successful client engagement, sponsorships and industry partnerships
  • Prepare high quality documents, including client driven collateral, pitches and tenders, directories submissions, reports and award submissions

You will be supported by a fun and highly collaborative national Business Development & Marketing team.

What experience are we looking for?

  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience with demonstrated track record of success in business development roles within a corporate, professional services or related organisation
  • Experience in the Infrastructure, Energy or Resources sector (preferred but not a prerequisite)
  • Expertise, experience and track record in practice development and or key account management
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, Law or Commerce (preferred)
  • Advanced software skills: Office 2013, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and a sound understanding of client management databases and software (desirable)
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work on numerous projects, achieve tight timelines and remain composed under pressure
  • Pro-active approach and the ability to exercise judgment on how to push key agenda items forward and build interest or buy-in
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with others and as part of a large, multi-layered team, to work collaboratively and be a ‘team player’
