We are looking for an enthusiastic Business Development Adviser to join our dynamic Sydney-based Business Development & Marketing team. This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis.

About the Role

This role is within the Australian Business Development team and is focused on driving the firm’s client and sector strategy within Projects, Infrastructure, Energy & Resources (PIER), while also supporting the National Projects practice group and at least one of the firm’s strategic, growth or priority client relationships.

You will contribute to the firm’s Business Development strategy to execute against profitable growth opportunities across Australia and internationally by applying strategic business development, client account leadership, relationship building, market insight and brand enhancing skills.

Reporting to the Senior Client Relationship Manager for PIER, this exceptional opportunity represents a chance to develop and enhance your career in a broad business development and marketing role with recognised leaders in their field, where you'll be both challenged by and exposed to a number of development opportunities. You will be supported by a well-respected and highly collaborative national Business Development & Marketing team, including experienced colleagues already working within the PIER sector team.

What experience are we looking for?

  • Passion for enhancing the client experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, Commerce or Law (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience with demonstrated track record of success in business development roles within a corporate, professional services or related organisation
  • Expertise, experience and track record in key account management
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle numerous projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, working to tight deadlines and performing well under pressure
  • Ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external clients
  • Ability to support the production of high-quality materials
  • Ability to work collaboratively and be a ‘team player’
  • Pro-activity and the ability to exercise judgement regarding how/when to push key agenda items forward and how to build interest or buy-in
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities as a result of research and analysis of business trends, market and competitor intelligence to drive growth
  • Ability to tackle complex issues involving numerous stakeholders and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
