We are looking for an experienced Business Development Adviser to join our dynamic Melbourne based Business Development & Marketing team on a full time, 12 month contract basis, commencing in April or May 2020.

About the role

This 12 month contract role will provide important business development support while one of our valued team members is on parental leave. You will contribute to the firm’s Business Development strategy by executing against profitable growth opportunities across Australia and internationally (as required) by applying market insight, business development, relationship building and brand enhancing skills.

In this role you will provide support for one of the firm’s largest practice groups (Mergers & Acquisitions) and at least one of the firm’s sector teams and/or strategic client relationships, working closely with the team's Client Relationship Managers.

As a member of the national Business Development & Marketing team, you will be focused on implementing the M&A practice’s business plan in line with the firm’s growth, client and sector strategy.

Reporting to the Senior Client Relationship Manager for the M&A practice group, and working closely with the national Business Development team, this exceptional opportunity represents a chance to develop and enhance your career in a broad business development and marketing role with recognised leaders in their field- where you'll be both challenged by and exposed to a number of development opportunities.

What experience are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with:

  • Around 4 to 5 years’ relevant experience with demonstrated track record of success in business development roles within a corporate, professional services or related organisation
  • Expertise, experience and track record in practice development and or key account management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and strong presentation skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with others and as part of a large, multi-layered team, to work collaboratively and be a ‘team player’
