The Role

Our national Client & Market Growth team at MinterEllison is a high performing and critical component of the firm and essential to the firm's success. The team supports the partnership by providing the full spectrum of business development and marketing services to ensure the firm develops and maintains strong relationships with new and existing clients

Job Description

A fantastic opportunity exists in our Sydney office for a Client Growth Manager to focus on driving client and market growth supporting relationships with new and existing clients.

You will work as part of the Consulting Solutions team (CS), and operate collaboratively with partners across the firm, in primarily the Technology Law and Technology Consulting practice areas.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with the key stakeholders including leadership and legal staff firm wide to execute strategies and initiatives to achieve the business growth agendas for these Business Units.
  • Assist with proactive development of client and network relationships across technology functions in both private and public sector entities to build a pipeline of work and lead responses to opportunities.
  • Support business development activities across the legal practitioners through sales support services such as pitches and capability statements, roundtable support, 1 on 1 external meeting marketing materials, social media channel campaigns, revenue drive campaigns, thought leadership activity, brand/PR work, etc
  • Design and execute campaigns to further develop MinterEllison's Technology Law and Technology Consulting market positioning.
  • Work closely with the firm's sector teams to facilitate cross selling opportunities (two-way).
  • Assisting with broader CMG team initiatives.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, business or a related discipline.
  • Proven 4-7 years' experience in business development, account management or equivalent work experience; experience applying these skills in legal or professional services or a technology consulting environment will be well regarded
  • Lead generation experience in a robust and mature services environment, ideally B2B or professional services with experience working in a corporate practice highly regarded.
  • Strong influencing skills to manage multiple virtual teams of stakeholders nationally.
  • Ability to manage sales campaign development, execution and reporting in line with growth strategies.
  • Experience in leading key stakeholders to deliver pitch, tender and proposal responses
  • Agility to work with the Partners, nationally, to develop sales strategies for key clients by building relationships with clients and industry/market leaders.
  • Confidence to arrange and participate in internal and external client meetings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • A strong, proactive client service focus.
  • Highly developed computer literacy skills across Microsoft Office suites etc
