Our National Client & Market Growth  team at MinterEllison is a high performing and critical component of the firm and essential to the firm's success.  The team provides expertise across a full spectrum of business development and marketing services to ensure the firm develops and maintains strong relationships with new and existing clients.

Job description

We are looking for a superstar Business Development Coordinator to join our Canberra Client & Market Growth team.  As part of the national team, you will work collaboratively with market-leading legal and business development professionals across the firm, in various sectors and specialty practice areas, to drive growth with our government clients.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting (and at times leading) projects, initiatives, tenders, pitches and credentials in conjunction with supervising partners and the Senior Market Growth Manager.
  • Supporting the National Government Industry Group and industry BD activities.
  • Developing marketing and profile raising initiatives in conjunction with the communications team.
  • Developing and building targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Collecting and producing information for directories and credentials.
  • Organising client and industry research dossiers and providing written briefings.
  • Supporting partners' BD activities as directed.

We are looking for:

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, communications or a related discipline (this may be in addition to a law degree).  

In addition, you will have:

  • The ability to work effectively to achieve outcomes with a diverse range of stakeholders both internal and external in a high pressure and time critical work environment.
  • A positive, calm, results oriented approach with a strong desire to learn.
  • Strong planning, execution and coordination skills.
  • Well-developed research, literacy and analytical skills and the ability to distil and disseminate written and verbal information.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a small team with an adaptable approach.
  • Demonstrated project management and organisational skills.

Bonus points for someone who:

  • Has experience working in the legal industry or professional services.
  • Is well connected in government networks.
