Purpose of the role

Our national Client & Market Growth team at MinterEllison is a critical component of the firm and essential to the firm's success. The team supports the partnership by providing the full spectrum of business development and marketing services to ensure the firm develops and maintains strong relationships with new and existing clients. Our successful team is recruiting an experienced Market Growth Manager to drive the marketing strategy for the Insurance and Corporate Risk (ICR) group.

Job description

Your responsibilities include:

  • Develop and lead the implementation of national, integrated marketing and sales plans that support the achievement of the Insurance business strategy, aligned with overall firm strategy
  • Support Partners in assessing sales opportunities and formulating responses to clients, including leveraging support from Major Pursuits and Tenders team as appropriate
  • Support the growth of business development skills across the legal practitioners in the group through formal and informal coaching and guiding of interactions with clients and markets
  • Design and execute campaigns to further develop MinterEllison's market positioning
  • Measure, report and assess effectiveness of marketing and sales initiatives including identifying and incorporating continuous improvement into future activities
  • Foster relationships both in Insurance and broader CMG group that are collaborative, innovative and value adding and ensure high quality service delivery to the Insurance group
  • Contribution to supporting the Insurance group achieve their revenue budget
  • Facilitate training and support for the capture and updating of relevant information for the Insurance group in the CRM system

More about you

On your first day, we expect you to have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or business or a related discipline Demonstrated understanding of relevant market and industry sectors
  • Experience in B2B BD / marketing role with a focus on product and / or segment management, campaign development, communications and project management
  • Commercially focused with strong analytical, planning and project management skills
  • Business and BD planning and campaign development and execution
  • Experience in dealing with multiple and senior stakeholders
  • A proven ability to use influence and persuasion to achieve desired outcomes
  • Sound financial acumen and excellent communication skills

Bonus points for someone who:

  • has experience in the legal industry or a professional services environment
  • is familiar with the insurance and corporate risk market
