This is an exciting new role working on some of our most significant bids, tenders and campaigns, working predominantly with our Commonwealth and NSW Government practice partners and leaders. As it’s brand new, there is real opportunity to make the role your own and build your career within strategic business development. Supporting our Business Development Manager and Head of Opportunity Pursuits, you’ll work as part of a small and experienced team, and will have a high level of visibility to our partners and leaders.

As Business Development Executive, you’ll coordinate marketing and business development campaigns and programs, support key account management, and project manage strategic bids and tenders. You’ll also assist with the planning and delivery of activities including memberships, directories and client events.

The role can be based in Sydney or Canberra, depending on your preferred location.

The key responsibilities and requirements for this role are as follows:


  • Work with the Business Development Manager to develop and deliver strategic marketing campaigns and activities for our Commonwealth and NSW Government teams.
  • Advise on and support key account management, targeting and tender activity.
  • Project manage and deliver multi-practice strategic bids and tenders. This includes working with the pursuit teams on value proposition development, project management of proposal process, copywriting and editing.
  • Support targeted pursuits by Commonwealth, NSW Government and other teams, by undertaking or commissioning research and tracking pursuit activity.
  • Assist our Commonwealth and NSW Government practice leaders in the planning, delivery and execution of relevant memberships, directories and client events.


  • Solid B2B marketing or business development experience.
  • Strong understanding of relationship marketing programs and channels, and the B2B buyer decision process.
  • Excellent writing, editing and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highest standard of quality – an eye for design, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to highest quality results.
  • Ability to influence and challenge senior executives on the value and strategic alignment of proposed marketing activities and BD pursuits.
  • Ability to identify value proposition based on matching our firm’s expertise with client needs.
