We’re offering a fantastic career development opportunity to a Business Development & Marketing Coordinator or Junior Executive who is eager to learn. As part of our national Marketing & Business Development team, this is a unique role supporting a variety of legal teams, giving you exposure to different and interesting areas of law and client types. You’ll work side by side with our Business Development Manager, creating plenty of opportunity for you to share ideas and grow your strategic thinking ability.

You’ll coordinate and execute a range of business development and marketing activities, including podcasts, webinars, blog posts, tender responses, publications and events. As we are a global firm, you will also gain exposure to global campaigns.

To be successful, you must have experience within marketing and/or business development in a professional services firm and be comfortable working in a collaborative and close-knit team. The position suits an individual who manages stakeholders well and has a positive approach to tackling new challenges.

The level of role offered will be dependent on experience and the role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney.

The key responsibilities and requirements for this role are as follows:

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Business Development and Marketing Plans for your specified teams.
  • Support domestic and global business development initiatives aligned with sector and practice strategies.
  • Work with the Business Development Manager to qualify, execute and manage proposed business development and marketing activities such as pitches, bids, press releases, events, publications, social media and other online campaigns.
  • Manage award, legal directory and league table submissions.
  • Support partners to deliver best practice client management.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years Business Development and/or Marketing experience gained within a legal or professional services firm.
  • Strong understanding of core business development and marketing programs employed in relationship marketing.
  • Demonstrated project management skills; i.e. ability to work to tight timeframes, managing multiple tasks and stakeholder management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence and advise stakeholders.
  • Experience of business development budget monitoring.
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing or equivalent.
