Our Client Programs team is doing some interesting and high-profile work to engage with key clients in ways that bring value to both clients and the firm. These activities are driven at the most senior levels of our firm, so the role of Client Relations Executive is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to these senior stakeholders, as well as to the exciting work we’re doing nationally.

In this role, you’ll help drive our client programs by gathering client intelligence, developing account management plans and ensuring standards are upheld during engagements with clients. As part of a collaborative and supportive national team, you’ll also assist with key client events, gathering client feedback and budget management.

There is plenty of opportunity and scope in this role for career development, as you work towards managing your own portfolio of key clients, alongside highly engaged senior Partners.

To be successful, you must have experience within B2B client relations management or business development in a professional services firm and be comfortable working in a close-knit, national team. The position suits an individual who manages stakeholders well and has a positive and proactive approach to tackling new challenges.

The role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney, depending on your preferred location.

The key responsibilities and requirements for this role are as follows:

Responsibilities

  • Undertake research with a view to deepening understanding of clients’ circumstances, issues, expectations and needs.
  • Facilitate the gathering and sharing of client intelligence and success stories from partners and fee earners who interact with client contacts.
  • Participate in the development of account management plans for allocated clients and support the implementation of those plans.
  • Ensure client plans, client information and client intranet pages are kept up to date and relevant documents are accessible to the client team.
  • Assist with internal and external reporting.
  • Monitor extent to which standards and behaviours set out in the Client Service Charter are being consistently demonstrated in our client engagement.
  • Identify opportunities for seeking client feedback and facilitate the feedback process.
  • Assist with the organisation and execution of key client events and hospitality, including the development of materials.
  • Assist the Director of Client Programs with management of the overall key client budget.
  • Project manage and deliver bids and tenders for allocated clients, with support from other BD team members and the strategic bids team as appropriate. This includes supporting value proposition development, as well as undertaking copywriting and editing.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of national / international marketing campaigns, improvement projects and initiatives. This may include research, copywriting and scripting communications, systems and processes, project and budget management, etc.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of relationship or account based marketing programs and B2B buyers’ decision process.
  • Excellent writing, editing and communications skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high quality outputs.
  • Understanding of and commitment to client service excellence.
  • Ability to influence and challenge senior executives on the value and strategic alignment of proposed client and business development activities.
  • Ability to identify value proposition based on client needs matched with expertise.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of competing priorities and a willingness and aptitude for addressing issues and finding solutions to problems.
