Operating as part of the National Marketing team, the National Communications and Content Specialist develops both media and business communications designed to engage key target audiences for Pitcher Partners (PP). From media releases and briefing documents through to thought-leadership articles, reports and content for the PP website, the role is suited to a business writer with a strong commercial mindset and exposure to media writing.

Working under the direction of the National Public Relations Manager, this role will identify and develop emerging issues and business trends and transform them into insights that are engaging to external media while driving value for clients and Pitcher Partners.

What will you do?

Working within the existing brand identity, you will be the driving force behind creation, design and delivery of engaging content that tells the story of Pitcher Partners, breathes life into the brand, and solidifies our position as experts in our field.

  • Craft interesting, relevant, and engaging content across social media channels, white papers, eBooks, website, webinars, presentations and printed collateral.
  • Lead and conduct research around brand awareness and market reputation, to inform future content that will convert clients and increase sales
  • Identify needs and current thinking within the market, and publish content that speaks to these by collaborating with third-parties
  • Support key PP campaign activity requiring analysis and thought positioning e.g. Federal & State Budgets, PP policy responses, reactions to industry/business positioning/white papers
  • Ensure a consistent brand "voice" across all collateral
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders and influencers, both internal and external, to achieve the best outcomes for content development and subsequent communication approaches

What do you need?

  • Tertiary qualification in business/marketing/communications/journalism or related field
  • 5 years’ experience in business writing and content production preferably within professional services/complex business environment, media company or PR firm
  • A solid portfolio of work demonstrating strong business writing skills, clear communication of ideas/concepts with a commercial focus
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise work, often within tight deadlines, and manage sensitive/confidential business information

To be successful in the role you will demonstrate a desire to learn everything about PP, manage several projects at once, and have the ability to anticipate and rapidly respond to the needs of the National Marketing team whilst displaying a positive, team-oriented attitude.
