The National Public Relations Manager is an exciting role at Pitcher Partners. This role has overall responsibility for establishing and managing Pitcher Partners’ (PP) public and media relations strategy and associated activities nationally, with the aim of enhancing the PP brand in our core markets through promoting our expertise and advocacy.

The role will require the identification, co-ordination and support of Pitcher Partners’ key spokespeople across the six Pitcher Partners member firms and active management of both proactive and reactive PR opportunities. Based in Sydney, the manager will travel to all PP firms as agreed/required.

The role requires savvy use of all media channels (broadcast, print, digital and social) to share and enhance reputation and the ability to write clearly and effectively to craft pitches, news releases and other content. The National PR Manager must show strategic news judgement and creative verve to generate notable media placements that promote the firm and its advisors. All work is executed at the highest level independently with direction from the National Marketing Director.

A demonstrated track-record developing media relationships coupled with a comprehensive understanding of the public relations landscape and how various communications channels work are required. Ideally your PR experience has been gained in supporting the professional services industry. Your capacity to manage senior stakeholders and competing deadlines is a given. You should also be able to effectively and calmly handle emergency and crisis communications ensuring PP reputation is maintained.
