What would you be doing?

Reporting to the GM Markets you will play a key part in leading our national team of communications and marketing specialists and be a trusted advisor and coach to senior leadership on best practices for market strategy and execution. You will be charged with creating and delivering engaging integrated campaigns that deepen our client relationships and deliver differentiated value and insight to PwC’s clients.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, coaching and day to day management of a national team of communications and marketing specialists including responsibility for team goal setting, coaching, training and development and resource allocation and prioritisation
  • With the GM Markets, designing and driving delivery of communications and marketing aspects of firm strategy and special projects
  • Working with sector and line of service leaders and sales and client development colleagues to successfully develop and execute strategically aligned campaigns and marketing initiatives that clearly differentiate the firm and deliver value and insight to clients
  • Leading a team of communications and marketing specialists to design and deliver an annual thought leadership programme comprising both firmwide flagship campaigns and sector or service specific campaigns
  • Leading the firm’s proactive PR and media strategy with the support of the firm’s communications managers.

What you’ll need to bring to the role

  • 15+ years’ experience successfully leading and coaching multidisciplinary communications and marketing teams, preferably in a professional services environment
  • Proven record of developing and implementing marketing and communications strategy and managing all associated budgets and resources
  • Experienced in negotiating and leveraging sponsorships and partnerships strategies that enhance the brand and support growth priorities
  • Experienced media relations practitioner with strong media contacts and issues management expertise
  • Change agent with advanced influencing, negotiating and coaching skills - ability to inspire and motivate others to develop and adopt best practice marketing and communications approaches
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distil complex information within tight deadlines and create engaging content and presentations
  • Ability to partner effectively in a highly matrixed environment, including the ability to win the trust and confidence of internal clients and colleagues
  • Intellectual curiosity and broad knowledge of business and political current events.
