What would you be doing?

We’re looking for Senior BD all-rounders at Senior Manager and Senior Executive levels, in both Auckland and Wellington locations. We are looking for individuals who are familiar with the concepts of growth, sales, client relationship development, bid management and value. Must love working as part of a team, making a real difference in an often fast paced environment and who can comfortably and effectively engage with a wide range of stakeholders.

This role is to work as a senior advisor and coach to senior leaders while working with client and business unit teams to drive and embed the business development strategy. Essentially you’ll help facilitate a strong focus on the market place, and help the teams to maintain their strong market position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide independent and objective advice that influences decision-makers
  • Work closely with partners and teams to execute their business plans with a focus on early identification of strategic opportunities and go to market strategy
  • Leverage the Firm's global sales framework to coach and advise stakeholders on best practice to deliver pipeline objectives including coaching on sales, business development and relationship approaches
  • Coach, guide and advise teams on complex opportunities and formal RFP processes including go/no go decisions, win strategy, value-proposition development and proposal roadmaps
  • Advise teams on pricing strategies and tactics
  • Drive Salesforce adoption and insight generation to enhance client relationships and pipeline development
  • Work with priority sectors lead partners and teams and our marketing communications specialists to develop and execute campaigns that deliver client insight and differentiated experiences
  • Work closely with members of the marketing communications team to develop and execute campaigns that deliver client insight and differentiated experiences.

Role Requirements

  • 5-10+ year’s experience successfully advising or managing major sales strategies, priority accounts and bids and opportunities.
  • Degree qualified with in-depth and relevant experience at executive level within a B2B or professional services environment
  • Strong people skills with the ability to quickly build trust, credibility and rapport with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills: speaking, writing and editing; use of graphics and communication tools; confident in front of large groups; assertive but diplomatic.
  • Able to coach teams effectively for challenging sales situations, including knowledge of presentation coaching techniques.
  • Strong collaboration skills with a track record of working successfully as a member of multidisciplinary sales and marketing communications teams
  • Able to effectively prioritise and delegate where appropriate when faced with multiple competing requirements.
