This role is to work as a senior advisor and coach to line of service leaders, market partners and other partners on key opportunities and market strategies for our National Consulting line of service. As an integral part of the national Markets team, you will be working with client and business unit teams to drive and embed the business development strategy. Essentially you’ll help facilitate a strong focus on the market place, and help the teams to maintain their strong market position.

In a nutshell, we’re looking for a senior BD all-rounder; someone who is familiar with the concepts of growth, sales, client relationships, bid management and value. Someone who loves working as part of a team, making a real difference in an often fast paced environment and someone who can comfortably and effectively engage with a wide range of stakeholders

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide independent and objective advice that influences decision-makers
  • Leveraging the Firm's global sales framework to coach stakeholders on complex opportunities or bids, including go/no go decisions, win strategy, value-proposition development and proposal roadmaps
  • Developing priority account plans for Consulting and working with partners to manage accounts to maintain and develop strong and enduring client relationships
  • Working closely with partners and teams to execute their business plans with a focus on early identification of strategic opportunities and go to market strategy
  • Working closely with members of the marketing communications team to develop and execute campaigns that deliver client insight and differentiated experiences
  • Driving the PwC Experience through the Three Client Principles: understanding value, seeking client feedback and agreeing value exchanged

Role requirements:

  • 10-15 years’ experience leading and coaching major sales strategies, bids and opportunities in a professional services industry
  • Degree qualified with in-depth and relevant experience at senior manager level within a B2B or professional services environment
  • Strong people skills with the ability to quickly build trust, credibility and rapport with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills: speaking, writing and editing; use of graphics and communication tools; confident in front of large groups; assertive but diplomatic
  • Able to coach teams effectively for challenging sales situations, including knowledge of presentation coaching techniques
  • Able to effectively prioritise and delegate where appropriate when faced with multiple competing requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of sales process gained from working in various internal and external environments at a senior level
