As the Senior Account Manager for an Iconic Financial Services Account you will bring the best of PwC to the account, all businesses are represented. Consulting brings this to life by helping clients improve the way they operate, reduce costs, manage risks, leverage talent, or fundamentally change the way they do business. Financial Advisory helps create value through deals, infrastructure, tax, legal and private clients - whilst we're delivering Assurance everywhere through our external audit and risk assurance teams.

Based in Sydney as a Senior Account Manager working on one of the Firm’s largest Iconic Financial Services Accounts the role is focused on enabling the team to deliver outcomes and exceptional client service. The role is an integral part of the Account Team across the business development and mobilisation lifecycle, working closely with the Client Lead Partner and and other account leaders to help sustain and grow a very successful account.

As a Senior Account Manager in the Consulting Market’s Account Management team your impact will be seen by:

  • Working with the account leadership to develop the account strategy and enabling the account team to plan 2-3 years out and push into areas of white space and maintain areas where we have established, trusted relationships
  • Taking a leading role in driving key strategic opportunities through the sales cycle, making sure that the value proposition positions PwC in the best way; coaching teams through the sales process; and making sure we collect feedback whether we win or lose
  • Driving account planning, management and reporting including leading and executing on activities associated with strategies for maintaining and growing relationships and maximising PwC’s potential to maintain and win business across the Account portfolio. This includes managing regular account team meetings, gathering, sharing and actioning of client feedback, and reporting.
  • Leveraging Consulting’s alliances and propositions to drive pipeline and opportunities and also connect with the marketing team to identify opportunities and connections through events, thought leadership and go to market campaigns.
  • Designing and facilitating workshops and strategy days for the accounts leveraging new ways of working.
  • Working with the Consulting markets team of account managers to work on alternate delivery models to optimise efficiencies.
  • Lead a small team and provide best practice account management and team leadership.

About you

You have a minimum of 8 years exceptional experience and have confidence and passion for account management. You can work in high pressure environments and deliver on tight deadlines. You are skilled in account management and sales principles, project and time management, strategic thinking and know how to execute. You have strong data analysis and visualisation skills, turning insights into action and can comfortably use Salesforce reporting and dashboards and are digitally proficient in platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Suite and Google apps for work.

You demonstrate the attributes of being a team leader and player who is a self-starter, detail orientated, a strong communicator with the confidence to negotiate and persuade senior stakeholders, is able to prioritise, with strong commercial acumen. You have experience in leading and coaching teams.

You have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build impactful relationships quickly through well-articulated points of view.
