The Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate and highly energetic Internal Communications Coordinator.

You will support the delivery of projects and change management throughout the organisation, ensuring consistency of internal and external messages and the development of compelling stories to engage internal stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Establish an internal communication plan in conjunction with relevant stakeholders;
  • Ensure organisational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to relevant employees and stakeholders and ensure internal and external messages are aligned;
  • Support communication of employee engagement and internal employer branding activities in conjunction with People & Culture;
  • Curates and develops content that is compelling and relevant and grounded in stakeholder understanding and insights;
  • Develops and drives an ongoing plan to ensure effective utilisation of internal communication tools, including Yammer and myRSM;
  • Coordinate significant updates to myRSM for Corporate Services;
  • Manages delivery of quarterly staff newsletter and monthly Corporate Services update;
  • Coordinate and draft presentations for National Chairman;
  • Research on best practice communication channels and develop innovative solutions to communication challenges;
  • Measure, analyse and report on effectiveness of communication plans and deliver recommendations to stakeholders;
  • Ensure consistency according to international branding standards and localised key messages; and
  • Other duties as required from time to time.

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for this position you will ideally have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification – PR, Journalism, Marketing or Communications;
  • 3-4 years’ experience in communications, with internal communications being a key responsibility
  • Good internal stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritise effectively amid competing demands on your time
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to make content engaging and accessible to a wide variety of culturally and geographically diverse colleagues
  • Understanding of professional services and a multi stakeholder environment
  • An aptitude for basic graphic design and layout work for web, video, newsletters and other visual media
  • Previous experience with CMS platforms
