Are you interested in joining a high-performing and commercial marketing team at one of the world's most respected law firms? We are looking for a bright and ambitious person to come on board and hit the ground running. You will work closely with our Asia partners, Head of Asia Marketing and Communications, and other Marketing and Business Development members, to develop and implement marketing and client development programs and initiatives. This will include assisting partners in preparing new business pitches, research and efforts to cross-sell firm services to existing clients.

The Asia Marketing & Communications Coordinator works closely with the Asia partners, Asia Marketing & Communications Manager, and other Marketing and Business Development members, to develop and implement marketing and client development programs and initiatives. This position assists partners in preparing new business pitches, research and efforts to cross-sell Firm services to existing clients. Additionally, this position:

  • Prepares materials for attorneys in connection with new business pitches and presentations, and responses to RFPs.
  • Conducts business development-related research and analysis. Coordinates with NY and HK department members for additional support in these areas.
  • Maintains effective systems for and records of pitches and other new business materials.
  • Assists Asia Marketing & Communications Manager with business development-related events.
  • Supports the team in relation to directory materials.
  • Coordinates with Marketing & Communications team members in other offices, and serves as an information source regarding Skadden/Asia related information.
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.
  • Manages Firm resources responsibly.
  • Complies with and understands Firm operations, policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of relevant computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
  • Demonstrates close attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, shifting priorities and organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters, maintain confidentiality, use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment
  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team
  • Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs
Experience/Education
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Previous marketing/business development experience in a professional services firm environment
  • Fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
