We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time, 13 month parental leave contract for an Event Coordinator within our Business Development & Marketing team based in Sydney.

The ideal candidate can start end of August / early September 2019 and will have three to five years of experience within a corporate events environment.

This is a varied role which will be supporting the Events Manager. You will be autonomously coordinating a variety of seminars, conferences, client hospitality functions, and other firm-wide events both in Sydney and remotely with our interstate offices.

Your responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Coordinating the processes involved in staging an event from start to finish, including taking event briefs, room bookings, catering and wait staff, invitation management, mailing lists, marketing collateral, internal communications, event evaluation and debriefs.
  • Supporting the creation of invitation lists and managing RSVPs.
  • Training offices on the use of the firm's event management processes.
  • Providing assistance and guidance to interstate offices when staging events or supporting sponsorships.
  • Managing the printing of name badges, place cards, menus, marketing collateral, seminar packs and other related material.
  • Promoting upcoming events utilising the firm’s internal communication channels.
  • Managing costs within agreed budgets and coding and processing associated invoices.
  • Maintaining information on the database, the firm’s intranet and document management system.

You will have been responsible for a high volume of events at a time, handling the process from start to finish. You will have experience troubleshooting onsite during events and will be someone who thrives on the adrenalin of a deadline driven environment.

While experience coordinating events in a corporate legal environment would be a bonus, it is not essential and this is a wonderful opportunity to broaden your experience while making a difference to this busy yet supportive team.
