About the role

An opportunity has become available for an experienced professional services Marketing & Business Development Manager to join the Business Services management team at Thynne + Macartney.

As a collaborative and strategic advisor, you will work closely with the Partnership to identify opportunities and develop and deliver key marketing initiatives that drive growth and aligns with the strategic direction of the firm and individual practice areas. Your responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Management of all external and internal communications;
  • Coaching and assisting Partners and fee earners in developing and delivering strategic business development activities and identifying new business opportunities from existing and target clients;

  • Management of client and staff events (as required);

  • Management and production of tenders, capability statements and expressions of interest;

  • Management of the client care program including undertaking client care interviews and matter debrief surveys, key client reporting and resolving client complaints;

  • Management of marketing expenditure in consultation with the Finance Manager and practice group heads.

In addition, you will manage the firm's:

  • Branding and imagery both online and in print. This includes management of the firm's website and any firm marketing collateral;
  • Sponsorship and corporate citizenship programs, ensuring the firm is leveraging our association to its fullest potential;

  • Seminar and events program;

  • Public relations and any associated advertising as well as managing award submissions; and

  • Assist all professional staff in the production of presentations, communications and marketing material for events when required.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role;
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing or communications;

  • Knowledge and experience in business development and client relationship management programs, preferably in professional services;

  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic account management programs;

  • Proficient in using Adobe products such as Photoshop and InDesign;

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels;

  • Dedication to providing excellence in client service;

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a flexible approach.
