The Board

President Penny has been involved in ICON since 2012, starting as a Committee Member in the Victorian Chapter, before moving to Singapore and joining the committee there. Penny then led the Singapore Chapter as the Singapore Chair for over 18 months, bringing the chapter from the post start-up phase to one of ICON's most successful new chapters, before joining the ICON Board of Directors in 2016.

Penny has over 12 years' experience in business development, client engagement, marketing and communications in the professional services sector and has worked for large professional services firms in Australia and Singapore.

Currently based in Singapore, Penny is the Head of Business Development Marketing, Asia Pacific at JLL, the world’s best known property firm. At JLL, Penny is responsible for driving the business development and client development strategy for JLL’s regional offering, across 16 markets in Asia Pacific.

Outside of JLL and ICON, Penny is a keen traveller and loves good food, F45 training and surfing.
Vice President Fraser McNaughton is ICON’s Vice President. He has been heavily involved with ICON (APSMA) for 8 years, having initially joined the NSW Committee before his Board appointment in 2013. As VP, Fraser is dedicated to working with our member firm CMOs to jointly grow the capabilities and the standing of ICON’s members within their respective firms.

For a day job Fraser is Chief Marketing Officer of leading mid-tier firm, Grant Thornton Australia. Based in Sydney he leads a national team of highly experienced and enthusiastic marketing, sales and communications professionals, together responsible for defining and delivering Grant Thornton’s go to market vison, strategy and objectives. Fraser is an experienced and intuitive marketing and sales professional who, as a member of Grant Thornton’s senior leadership team, has a particular passion for improving client interactions as a driver of better experiences and the foundation to brand loyalty and sustainable revenue growth.

Outside of work Fraser enjoys quality time with his family and prolonging his football career as long as he can.
Treasurer Lynn is an assurance partner in EY Sydney’s core assurance practice, and is the first assurance partner with mainland China background in big 4 accounting firms in Australia and leads EY Oceania’s China Assurance Practice. Lynn’s aspiration at EY is to build a strong China assurance practice that will provide exceptional service experience to clients and a great platform for Asian background professionals to succeed.

Lynn specialises in auditing and providing financial advices to clients across a range of industries, including energy and renewable energy, industrial market (building and construction, civil engineering), telecommunication and technologies, with a focus in the Australia-China corridor. Lynn’s first hand commercial experience in China and deep knowledge about Australia commercial market enables her to provide professional services with commercial insights and with deep understanding on the needs of Chinese investment in Australia and the opportunities and challenges Chinese companies may face in the Australian market.

Lynn is married to Ian with two young girls, Chloe and Isla.
Secretary Kathryn has over 15 years marketing experience in B2B and B2C organisations and spent over 5 years in advertising agencies. She is currently the Marketing Director at PwC Australia, responsible for leading PwC Australia’s strategic marketing function, activities and outcomes.

Prior to this Kathryn spent 3 years at Kessler Financial Services as the Partnerships Director, responsible for Kessler's Partnership business arm.

For over 9 years, Kathryn held the Head of Marketing role at Macquarie Bank across three different business units driving the strategic marketing function for B2B and B2C businesses in Australia and Asia.

Kathryn is an AICD Graduate, holds an MBA and has completed strategic and leadership courses at Harvard and the MGSM.

Kathryn has 3 kids and enjoys spending time outdoors bike riding, walking or swimming at the beach. She loves socialising with friends over a good glass of wine and a fabulous meal and cherishes her morning exercise. An avid skier, so is found most holidays skiing down a mountain and sits on the Board of her ski club.
Director Sarah has been involved in ICON for over six years, starting as a Committee Member and Chair of the Queensland Committee, before moving to Hong Kong and joining the committee there. In the last two years Sarah has been a member of the team delivering the Australia & New Zealand Conference and joined the ICON Board of Directors in 2017.

Sarah has over 14 years experience in marketing and business development with 12 of those in professional services in Hong Kong and Australia

Sarah is currently Client Relationship Program Manager at GHD and has previously held senior marketing and business development roles at UDIA (Qld), PwC, URS and John Holland.
Director Katrina has been involved in ICON for the last seven years, having served on the NSW Committee for much of this time. In her more recent role as a Board member, she has been actively engaged in providing support to ICON’s headquarters.

With more than 20 years’ professional experience (much of this gained through the professional services and media sectors), Katrina is currently responsible for marketing and brand globally for GHD, working closely with the regional teams and General Manager, Strategy. She also leads the Corporate Marketing and Communications team. Katrina joined GHD in 2011 and prior to this, had senior roles with both Thomson Geer Lawyers and Ashurst (Blake Dawson).

Katrina has a strong appreciation for good red wine and enjoys spending the small amount of free time she has with friends and family.
Director Elected in early 2018 Karen is a fresh face on the ICON Board. With 17 years experience in the B2B Marketing industry Karen brings with her big ideas and an undeniable passion for strategic innovation.

Presently, Karen works alongside her rapidly growing team at McCorkell to drive regional strategic innovation for their clients who include VMware, SAP, Lexus, AMEX and IBM. Karen encourages global enterprises to focus on authentic customer-centricity strategies supported by modern marketing principles to deliver on primary business objectives. It is her belief that every marketing interaction is an opportunity to improve their client’s bottom line.

Her hobbies include supporting the development of women entering or returning to the workforce within the technology sector.
Heidi joined the ICON Board in 2018 and has over 19 years’ experience in the B2B marketing across a variety of industries, most recently professional services, engineering and telecommunications.

Presently as a Business Development Manager at Telstra, Heidi works directly with large global Enterprises to drive key business objectives through strategic innovative solutions. She works closely with one of the largest technology companies in the world, Cisco, and drives growth in the Unified Communications portfolio which focusses on transforming and digitising the workplaces of world-leading companies. Prior to this she held senior Marketing roles at Telstra leading key strategic campaigns to market, as well as key roles at Ernst & Young and GHD.

Heidi has a passion for good food (both cooking and eating it) and wine and counter balances all of that with daily sessions at F45! She also enjoys spending time with her hubby, two gorgeous girls and one big lovely black lab.
Priyanka as been involved with ICON since 2015, firstly as a Committee Member and then as the Co-Vice Chair of the Singapore chapter; helping to build the chapter’s thought leadership events and digital communications channels. She joined the ICON Board of Directors in September 2018.

Priyanka has 14+ years of strategy, marketing and communications experience, predominantly in Financial Services where she worked for both ANZ and Westpac Banking Corporation. After starting her career in Melbourne, Australia, she has been based in Singapore for 8+ years, looking after regional marketing; with experience in 24 Asia Pacific markets.

Priyanka is the Founder and Managing Director of Window Seat Group, a B2B Strategic Marketing consultancy, helping brands integrate digital tools, channels and capabilities into existing marketing agendas. She specialises in bespoke strategy projects that adopt the latest marketing approaches and technologies, helping clients to stay ahead of trends and adapt quickly.
Jennie was first involved as a Hong Kong Committee member back in 2011-12 and since September 2018, she has re-joined ICON as a Board member.

Jennie has more than 18 years in developing and leading go-to-market strategies in the professional services industry including business development, strategic pursuits, and talent marketing and attraction. She has been based in Hong Kong since 2011 focusing on the Asia Pacific market and opportunities. Currently, Jennie is the Head of Asia, Sales and Marketing at Ashurst.

In her spare time, Jennie enjoys taking photos for her visual diary and occasionally you'll find her immersed in her paper craft projects.
Board Member Jessie has over 15 years of professional accounting experience with multiple roles demonstrating her versatility, resilience and a drive to succeed. She is currently the Group Finance Lead for Business Platform in Mirvac. Prior to her current role, Jessie has been the Financial Controller for Corporate and Shares services in Mirvac for three and half years. Jessie is CPA qualified and holds a Master of Accounting from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Management in Accounting from Beijing University.

Jessie is optimistic and full of zest. Her passion and determination to create a better future energises and inspires her audience. Jessie believes accounting is a language. An “articulate” finance leader will bring simplicity and synergy to process, system and reporting, which leads to better decision making. By breaking down the language barrier, Jessie is driving a universal understanding for all stakeholders, clients, team members and colleagues. Jessie believes life is about experience and sharing. Her goal is to create a fun, diverse and high performing team, company and eventually contribute to a more vibrant community.

Outside of work Jessie enjoys quality time with her family and friends, reading, travelling, skiing and singing Karaoke.
Board Member Dan is a senior business development and marketing professional with over 20 years of experience managing high performing teams. He specializes in sales, pursuit management, presentation coaching, client attraction, retention and key account growth. Dan has had extensive international experience and has spent the past 12 years building and managing multi market teams, gaining detailed knowledge and experience across the EMEA and APAC regions in the process.

In his current role as the APAC Head of Business Development at Tag, Dan is responsible for the overall growth agenda for the company within the region. He is in charge of a large team of solutions focused business development professionals, who are deployed with an in-market philosophy and structure, facilitating conversations from local, into regional and beyond.
