ICON Hall Of Fame

The purpose and objective of the ICON Hall of Fame is to acknowledge and honour significant contributions of people who have developed the Professional Services Marketing Industry, across the Asia Pacific region.

Criteria

The ICON Hall of Fame was created to recognise individuals who have made extraordinary contributions, both to the profession and the association. Current and previous ICON members in good standing who have been actively involved in the profession for a minimum of 10 years can be considered for selection.

Recipients of the ICON Hall of Fame will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • Professional Experience and Capability
  • Advancement of the Profession
  • Service as a Role Model
  • Contribution to APSMA
Each year, up to 3 nominees are eligible for inclusion in the Hall of Fame. According to the rules, nominees from the previous year who were not inducted are automatically considered the next year, so their advocates do not need to resend their nominations.

2016 Hall of Fame Inductees

Samantha Jayawardane – Director of China Practice, Paul Weiss

Sammi was always known as a reliable committee member. Always working tirelessly to put in place the program of seminars, and on many occasions it must have felt like another full time job for Sammi. She was always about the detail, to ensure that everything looked professional and ran like clockwork. She understood the commitment required and always gave it her all.

According to her peers, Sammi's enthusiasm was truly infectious and you couldn't help but get onboard with ICON!

ICON congratulates Sammi on her Hall of Fame award.

Deborah Macrae - Director of Business Development and Marketing, Russell McVeagh

Deborah was an ICON Director and Vice President for five years and prior to that served on the Queensland Committee for many years. In her Director and VP role, she was an extremely hard working executive member, a commitment that required many, many hours of input outside of her work commitments.

She has been instrumental in building ICON's profile in Australia and Asia Pacific, and her contribution continues today through her advocacy of the association in New Zealand.

Over approximately 10 years, Deb has contributed many hundreds of hours to ICON in her role as Director. Many thanks Deb!

Gina McLoughlin – Mangaging Director, McLoughlinBall

Gina McLoughlin a consummate professional who has made an extraordinarily deep commitment to ICON over a long period of time. She has demonstrated the characteristics and traits that we encourage our young professionals to demonstrate and, as a result is widely respected and sought after member of our profession. She also brings a uniquely charming and eccentric presence to all the ICON events she attends.

An ICON Conference cocktail party just would not be the same with her in attendance!!

Congratulations Gina!
