APSMA Singapore: International Women’s Day event: Be Bold for Change

Join APSMA on the 14^th March as we celebrate International Women’s Day in style! Our one-off charity evening is inspired by this year’s theme: #BeBoldForChange, and is aimed at helping the women of Singapore advance in their careers and unleash their limitless potential.

The event will kick off with a short panel discussion on empowering women and how to address their unique challenges at work. We’ll hear from our experts Jean Balfour of Bailey Balfour, Dress for Success, Nanik Dershaye of Seldon Rosser and others. The panel will be followed by a fete-style event with stalls providing a variety of expert services to help you develop your professional skills.

These will include career coaching from international organisation development and training consultancy Bailey Balfour, invaluable LinkedIn profile advice from NASDAQ listed company Black Marketing, CV-honing tips from communications experts Giles Publications, and of course our event stars Dress for Success, a Singapore registered charity offering practical, long-lasting solutions that enable women-in-need to become financially independent and break the cycle of poverty.

We ask that you consider donating to Dress for Success Singapore on the night. You can also take part in the charity’s Dare2Dress Challenge, where you and/or your team dress up as your favourite fashion heroes. Your fabulous contribution, or participation in the challenge either at the event or throughout the month of March, could give another woman the confidence to enter or return to the workplace, make a great first impression and land a job that could change her life. Plus, catch a special appearance of the Dare2Dress team’s very own ‘Trinny & Susannah’ as they dispense ‘What Not to Wear’ style tips in return for give-what-you-like donations.
