ICON WA: Soft Skills are in demand

Soft skill-intensive occupations will account for two-thirds of all jobs by 2030. And yet the average worker is currently missing around 2 of the 18 critical skills that are advertised for. Do you have the skills necessary for success?

In a practical session led by Deloitte director Victoria Siepen, ICON members will have the opportunity to fine tune some of the most in-demand soft skills that are involved in managing people – such as communication, teamwork, problem solving and emotional judgement.

With over twenty years of industry experience across a broad range of industry sectors, her areas of expertise include organisation design, strategic change, learning & capability development and leadership & culture change. She has worked in Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, China, USA, Canada, Chile, Brazil and UK helping to deliver business outcomes through designing and enabling competency frameworks, building leadership and organisational capability through skill development and business leader coaching to achieve the desired organisational culture. In her spare time she is an evolving fashion designer, avid reader and novice barre initiate!
