The coronavirus (COVID-19) has caused serious disruptions to the world - not only businesses and the economy are being affected, COVID-19 is also having a significant impact on people's mental health. Various surveys have shown that there is an increased number of people feeling stressed, worried and concerned since the virus outbreak. Due to the pandemic, more conflicts may occur within families as schools have been suspended and some adults have to work from home.
In this session, Dr. Adrian Low will explore situations and related psychological burdens that different people may encounter and how they can adjust their mindsets and behaviours. Attendees will also receive a psychological mask, which is a psychological defence guide jointly produced by the Post Crisis Counseling Network (PCCN) and the Hong Kong Association of Psychology (HKAP).

Dr. Adrian Low
Dr. Adrian Low is a chartered psychologist (BPS) who has graduated with a Doctor of Clinical & Industrial/Organisational Psychology at the California Southern University. He also holds a master’s degree in Education. Adrian’s workplace stress research has won the presidential award for doctoral research excellence at the California Southern University and since then he has been invited to be a keynote speaker in various conferences across the globe. Adrian is the president of the Hong Kong Association of Psychology. Besides that, he is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Worcester as well as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Hong Kong School of Professional and Continuing Education.
